Aunty Dana’s Op Shop is a gorgeous second hand clothing store located at 128 Abel Smith street, and relocating June 1st 2019 to 130 Riddiford street in Newtown, Wellington. It is open weekdays and weekends, and raises funds for the transgender community organisation Gender Minorities Aotearoa.
Aunty Dana’s Op Shop is looking for volunteers to join our vibrant and dynamic team of amazing people to work a shift on the same day each week.
A shift is about 4 hours long, and you can bring a friend along, listen to your music, drink cups of tea, and do flexible duties. When we get to our new venue, we will be serving hot chip lunches for that days volunteers every day at shift changeover time. Our aim is not just raising funds, but also creating a fun and supportive social environment. Come and be part of it! We need you!!
You can read more information in our volunteers manual, which you can download here, or pick up a paper copy from the op shop.
If you would like to volunteer, you can click here to fill in the volunteer form, or if you have questions you can email the volunteer coordinator, Kerry, on firstname.lastname@example.org, or pop into the shop and talk with us! Fridays and Saturdays are the best days to pop by for chats. We’re excited to meet you!
